QUESTION & ANSWER

Q. How much does registration cost?
A. Crowd1 registration is free.

Q. Why do some people post negative stuff about Crowd1?
A. Understanding the business model might seem difficult if you are not an active member of the Crowd1 network. Not having the right information and guides can create confusion and misunderstanding.

Q. According to Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), “Crowd1 is not authorized to render financial services it is providing” in South Africa. What can you say about this?
A. FSCA assumes that Crowd1 is offering financial services. Crowd1 does not provide financial services.

Q. National Consumer Commission (NCC) says: “consumers must inquire with the authorities if a company is registered before investing their money.” A Financial Service Provider (FSP) business needs to be registered in FSCA. Is Crowd1 registered in FSCA?
A. The NCC is assuming that Crowd1 is a bank or some kind of financial institution that is offering financial services. Crowd1 does not need to be registered by the FSCA because Crowd1 does not provide financial services.
Q. With Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the NCC is investigating Crowd1 to see if it is a pyramid or Ponzi scheme.
A. Under South African law, network marketing, which is a form of tiered selling, is legal. However, pyramid schemes, where the business model is based just on getting existing members to sign up new members, are illegal. Misleading posts on social media and lack of understanding of the business model has led the media and some authorities to believe Crowd1 might be a pyramid scheme. The sooner they finish the investigation the better for all Crowd1 Affiliates.
Q. A Financial Service Provider (FSP) is a business offering financial advice and/or intermediary services (such as brokerages, insurance companies, etc). To operate as an authorized FSP in South Africa, a business entity or individual must be issued with a license. Without this license, they cannot operate as an FSP. With this, is it not illegal for Crowd1 to operate?
A. CROWD1 IS NOT A Financial Service Provider (FSP). Therefore, securing a license on this for Crowd1 is not applicable. We sell E-Education packages.

There are no promises of getting rich-quick and you can’t expect to earn income when you are not even sharing digital products and services with others.
Q. Can you make a living by working with Crowd1 full-time?
A. Crowd1’s network consists of millions of highly ambitious members with a desire for entrepreneurship and sales. There are no guarantees, only opportunity.
Q. Is Crowd1 a pyramid scheme?
A. No. A lack of understanding – especially on social media – has resulted in crowd marketing and other online networking companies being labeled this way.
Q. Does a member who has joined early make all the money?
A. No, this is a common misconception.
There is no direct connection between when a member joins Crowd1 and how much money he/she can make. Earnings depend on each member’s ability and effort. You determine your income by your performance in sharing products and the more people you have shared with, the greater the chance of more purchases which results in making more income.
